Women from different walks of life are members of its General body and Board of Directors. Empowering women to take up various agro based activities such as livestock raring, food processing, diversification of crops, giving importance to food security, kitchen gardening, bee farming, poultry farming, promotion of herbal garden, fishfarming and helping to establish home based handicraft units are some of our initiatives and interventions. In all possible situations we collaborate with different development agencies of the Government.
Women’s Welfare Association (WWA) is very much active in implementing different projects like designing and implementing several community-based drinking water and water-shed projects for soil and water conservation with the support of NABARD in Wayanad and other neighboring districts.
